Okada Riders Besiege Kwara Assembly to protest LG Amendment Bill

Commercial motorcyclist in their hundreds stormed the house of Assmbly complex, Ilorin to express their displeasure in the attempt by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to shift Local government elections to 2025 using the kwara House of Assembly.

The Riders who are chanting various protest song said they came in solidarity with Kwarans from across walks of life to join them in registering their voices against the passage of the bill which public hearing is currently ongoing at the house .

The Okada rider said they have been the direct victims of lack of legitimate local govt structures in the stage with escalating insecurity affecting their business.
